ROME – An important regional resolution that suddenly appears, unbeknownst to almost all the councilors, on the council table to be approved; but two days earlier it was already given as approved on Facebook by a member of the League with a like from the regional councilor for the Budget, Giancarlo Righini. This is how the story of an act that concerns the extraordinary maintenance of roads, safety interventions and also on the schools of over 30 municipalities in Lazio takes on different contours, tinged with yellow. Including Monte San Giovanni Campano (in the province of Frosinone), that of Lorella Biordi, militant of the League (last spring engaged in the electoral campaign for the unsuccessful election of Mario Abruzzese to the European Parliament) current board member of the Asp (the regional company for personal services) of Frosinone.
Last Tuesday on her Facebook profile the former councilor of the Ciociaro municipality wrote: “There was an opportunity that I could not miss for the good of the community and in agreement with the municipal administration, I announce that on Thursday a resolution will go to the regional council, with state law n.145, which finances public works, therefore some roads in our territory will be affected by these interventions; four to be precise: via Carpinello, via Colle Aruccia, via Campangoni, via Mendrella. I do it intentionally, I do it for all of us regardless of the majority or the opposition”. Lending support to the veracity of the announcement is the “thumb” of the Councilor for the Budget, Giancarlo Righini, who topped the list of 60 likes. That “like” becomes a mystery when in the two orders of the day of the council, the main one (October 22, i.e. the day of the post) and the supplementary one (October 23), the measure cited by the militant of the League is not there. But in the end, miracle, it arrived in the council ‘out of the bag’ and approved anyway.
A rarity in the Rocca executive. The interventions for the municipality of Monte San Giovanni Campano are exactly the 4 roads mentioned and are worth 400 thousand euros in total. The resolution in question was drawn up by the Department of Budget and Economic Planning in conjunction with the Department of Public Works (Astral will be responsible for carrying out the interventions) and was so ‘out of the bag’ that this time, unlike the other few cases that have occurred in the past, it was not even announced, as sources from the Council reported to the Dire agency. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Roberta Angelilli, because President Rocca is on a mission in the United States. Together with him until yesterday there was also the councilor Righini who however decided to anticipate the return and so was able to participate in the Council that voted on the measure in urgency, because “it had to be approved by October 30”, always reported by those well informed to the Dire agency.
The combination – announcement of the militant with like from Righini and approval outside the bag of the resolution – has surprised more than a few in the center-right. The question that is being relaunched by many to the reporter is: “How come a former municipal councilor of Monte San Giovanni Campano, not even from Fdi, knew before the councilors (except for the proposers of the resolution) that that measure would be voted and also approved?”. For months in the corridors of the Region there has been talk of a close understanding between the two who were also seen together in various meetings of the Region. Rumors are spreading so fast that perhaps it is no coincidence that Biordi’s Facebook post ended: “I can already feel the controversy and possible insinuations in the air, but I assure you that all this was done with wisdom and dedication towards our territory.”
