ROME – The Basmannyj court in Moscow has issued an arrest warrant against the opposition activist Yulia Navalnaya on charges of being part of “an extremist organisation”: this was reported to Russian news agency Novosti is the court’s press service. The woman, widow of Alexei Navalny, who died in prison last February, is abroad.
“The magistrates have chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months” , the sources told Novosti. “The period is calculated from the moment of extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation or from the moment of detention in the territory of the Russian Federation.”
