Modena, goes to the barracks with the body of his wife killed in the van

The two had an ongoing dispute over custody of their minor children and visitation rights. The woman had applied for the exclusive one

MODENA – Last night he showed up at the headquarters of the Carabinieri in Modena, saying that he had transported the body of his 40-year-old wife in his van, parked outside the barracks.

This is a 48-year-old, an Italian man, arrested flagrantly or almost for aggravated murder. This was reported by the Modena Prosecutor’s Office in a note released by the Carabinieri.The body of the woman, a lady of Russian origins, was found curled up in the trunk of the vehicle. Her head was covered by a black bag: when the latter was removed, it emerged that the woman’s neck had been tightened with a belt.

The man is in prison in Modena, awaiting the validation hearing before the investigating judge. It emerged that the 40-year-old had asked the Court of Innsbruck for the regulation of the prevailing custody of the minor children and the right of visitation: the placement of the two minor children in the mother’s home had been established, with the right of father’s visit.

Since January, the man had instead appealed to the Court in Modena for judicial separation with charges against the woman, contesting the Austrian provision. Until May, however, the Modena Court did not deal with the decision of the foreign community judge. In February the woman had petitioned Innsbruck for sole custody of her two children.
