Minecraft becomes a Netflix TV series
An original story with new characters, which will show the world of Minecraft in a new light
ROME – It happened: the best-selling game of all time and the largest streaming system in the world have come together to bring a brand new Minecraft animated series to Netflix. The news was given on the occasion of the celebration of Minecraft’s 15th anniversary. The plot? Everything is still top secret. We only know from the official synopsis that it will be an “original story with new characters, which will show the world of Minecraft in a new light”.
The best-selling cube character video game in history was launched in 2011 by the Swedish studio Mojang Studios. The series will be created with the CGI animation technique in collaboration with Wild Brain, a Canadian studio that has already created other animated serial titles for Netflix such as Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising and Carmen Sandiego.
How long will we have to wait to see the series on Netflix? We don’t know, we still have to wait for further communications.
