Mimmo Lucano returns mayor of Riace and is also elected to the European Parliament

REGGIO CALABRIA – Domenico Lucano returns to the helm of the Municipality of Riace (Reggio Calabria). The success of his list ‘Riace looks at the sun’ was clear, winning 46.31% of the votes, the preferences were 509. In second place was the candidate Francesco Salerno who won 384 votes (34 ,31%). The outgoing mayor, already a member of the League, Antonio Trifoli, was only third with 206 votes (18.74%). For Lucano this is a “bis” victory, after having filled up with preferences in the European elections in Calabria and in the southern Italian constituency, supported by the Green-Left Alliance list , which also allowed him to be elected to the European Parliament.
