BOLOGNA – “Matteo, forgive me, the call went out”: it was 11pm at Matteo Salvini‘s house when he received a call from none other than Fedez >. the minister and secretary of the Lega, even if he hasn’t had an easy two days – with the electoral count – still responds politely with an invitation for a coffee, with a pleasantry he bypasses the uncomfortable question of ‘how am I the elections are over” and ends the conversation. The next day he discovers that it was just a prank call from the rapper: he himself says that he was made fun of by Fedez, during a live streaming on social media, taken today, June 11th , while he responds to his followers and thanks them for their electoral support, in particular, at minute 2.20 he responds to those who ask him what he thinks of Fedez and the minister reveals: “I found out today from the media that last night he played a joke on me. telephone”.
“You know what a joke, everyone has fun as they want – he then replies – it was 11pm, 11.30pm, I was at home with my partner and I see the call, ‘let’s answer, you never know, he must have had a problem’. And instead..” The rapper tells him the fateful phrase “Sorry, I got the call”. Then it turns out that he called the deputy prime minister during a live social broadcast to prank him (The images are circulating on TikTok, X etc).
And Salvini continues: “I discovered today, reading in the newspaper, that it was a prank call. I finished making them when I was 12 – he adds angrily – when there were no mobile phones and there was the phone with which you called going around the finger, then you acted a bit silly, you responded with a raspberry.” Here “at 40 maybe the time for prank calls is over, a big kiss to Fedez – Salvini tone down at the end – hoping he makes more good songs”.
Finally, the Northern League member also responds to those who ask him what he thinks of another singer, namely Vasco Rossi, of whom he admits he has always been a big fan. “I know he doesn’t always have kind words towards me – he explains – but music is music, he can think what he believes about me, it doesn’t change his opinion on what a great artist is for me”.
