Marcello Colafigli, former member of the Magliana gang, arrested: he ran a huge drug ring

Former member of the Banda della Magliana Marcello Colafigli arrested in Rome: he inspired the character of Bufalo in Criminal Novel

BOLOGNA – Marcello Colafigli, historical figure of the former Banda della Magliana, arrested in Rome: he was arrested this morning at dawn together with other people (28 in total the recipients of the precautionary custody order, 11 of which he was sent to prison and another 16 under house arrest) issued by the investigating judge of Rome at the end of an investigation into a drug ring, with purchases and sales of lots coming from also by Colombian narcos and Spain.
Colafigli is the boss who inspired the character of Bufaloin ‘Romanzo Criminale’: today he is 70 years old, according to what was reconstructed by the Carabinieri, the Rome prosecutor’s office and the district anti-mafia directorate, he was still active in managing a drug ring and had relationships with members of the ‘Ndrangheta, the Camorra, the Foggia mafia and with Albanians included in a South American drug cartel.

The precautionary custody order, carried out by the soldiers of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Rome, saw arrests in the provinces of Rome, Naples, Foggia and Viterbo.
