Lollobrigida’s spokesperson: “I resign so as not to damage the government”

Signorelli's decision comes after Repubblica's investigation into the chat with Fabrizio Piscitelli, nicknamed 'Diabolik'

ROME – “I resign from the role of spokesperson for the minister Francesco Lollobrigida. I do it for myself, for my family and so as not to damage the government“. These are the words ofPaolo Signorelli, head of the press office of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, following the Repubblica investigation into the chats between him and Fabrizio Piscitelli, nicknamed ‘Diabolik’, from whom I am anti-Semitic phrases and neo-fascist praise emerged.

Signorelli had self-suspended last Friday, after the chat scandal with the Lazio ultra leader, right-wing extremist and drug trafficker killed in Rome on 7 August 2019.
