ROME – Queues and inconveniences along the A1 due to an accident that occurred during the night between two heavy vehicles and a car at kilometer 581 on the A1 Milan-Naples. Meanwhile, around 9:00, two lanes were reopened to traffic in the stretch between the junction with the southern Rome branch and Valmontone towards Naples. Autostrade specifies this in a note.
Currently, in the section concerned there are 12 km of queues in the stretch between the junction with the A24 Rome-Teramo and Valmontone in the direction of Naples and 9 km of queues in the stretch between Colleferro and the junction with the South Rome branch in the direction of Rome/Florence. There is also a 5 km queue on the southern Rome branch in the stretch between San Cesareo and the junction with the A1 Milan-Naples towards the A1.
Alternatively, those traveling towards Naples can take the A24 Rome-Teramo in the direction of Rome, take the Grande Raccordo Anulare di Roma and then take the Roma Sud branch and exit at San Cesareo, take then the SS6 via Casilina and return to the A1 at Valmontone. Those traveling in the opposite direction towards Rome/Florence can exit at Colleferro, take the SS6 via Casilina and return to San Cesareo on the Rome south branch.
