It’s clash between Rai top management over the Scurati-Bortone case. Money: “Disciplinary proceedings are not good for the company”

The President distances herself from Ad Sergio: "Partial truth told in Commission"

ROME – “I don’t think that the disciplinary proceedings against Serena Bortone do justice to the matter, nor do they do good for Rai“. This is the clear distancing of the President of Rai, Marinella Soldi, from the measures announced yesterday by the CEO, Roberto Sergio, towards the journalist-presenter of “ >CheSarà“. Not only that: “What was reported by the CEO to the Supervisory Commission partially recounts what happened – he continues – without citing any significant aspects”.
Soldi therefore claims that the game is still open because, “without prejudice to company policies – he points out – the so-called Scurati case is still subject to checks by the company’s Internal Audit management, for which the President has the powers”. And the draft results of this audit “have been viewed both by me and by the CEO – he concludes – and they highlight a much more complex situation than that described by the CEO, which requires a more complete approach”.
