ROME – They had attempted to escape, armed with knives and axes, threatening the hostages, but they were all killed by Russian special forces. The revolt of six ISIS prisoners in Rostov prison, in southern Russia, ended in blood.
THE REVOLT, THE HOSTAGES, THE REQUEST FORA CAR
The Soviet press agencies, in the early morning of today, reported a note from the Federal Penitentiary Service which announced that “two officers of the penitentiary police of the Rostov Region were taken hostage by prisoners in one of the cells of center number 1”. Negotiations were then started for the release of the two agents with the six revolting prisoners, members of ISIS: they asked for a car to escape and their immediate release.

Then the intervention of the Russian police forces, the neutralization of the terrorists and the release of the hostages. As the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service informed the agencies a few hours later. “The criminals were neutralized and the employees held hostage were released and did not suffer any injuries during the special operation.”
