ROME – The “Pre-Raphaelites. Modern Renaissance”, hosted at the San Domenico Forlì Civic Museum from 24 February to 30 June 2024, reconstructs the profound impact of historical Italian art on the British Pre-Raphaelite movement between the 1840s and the 1920s.

Conceived and created by the Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì Foundation, thanks to the Main Partnership of Intesa Sanpaolo, the bank led by the managing director and CEO Carlo Messina, the exhibition and the rooms of the Museo Civico San Domenico house over 300 works belonging to multiple artistic movements, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, furniture, ceramics, glass and metal works, fabrics, medals, illustrated books, manuscripts and jewels.

“Intesa Sanpaolo supports with great conviction the exhibitions that are presented every year at the San Domenico Forlì Civic Museum, because every time there is an idea that allows us to tackle a movement, Italian or foreign, from a new perspective” he declared Giovanni Bazoli, Chairman Emeritus of Intesa Sanpaolo.
