JUPITER IN GEMINI 27/5/24- 9/6/25: THE ART OF LISTENING After a year of staying in the Sign of Taurus, a few hours ago Jupiter has entered the Sign of Gemini to remain there until 9 June 2025. This is an important individual and collective passage. Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. It takes about 12 years to go around the Sun and go through the 12 Signs of the Zodiac. It is connected to: physical, intellectual expansion, acquisition of new knowledge, abundance. It is said that Jupiter amplifies everything it touches. The Gemini Archetype is an air sign, changeable, dynamic, linked to: ideas, words, thoughts, communication, exchanges, interactions, sociability, study, writings. This triggers stimuli for change, especially mental, in the world of interacting/communicating/finding oneself with the Other. We will be dealing with an energy that tells of truths that transcend illusions, balance between depth and surface . We will want a change of scenery (Gemini Archetype), expand (Jupiter) from a mental point of view (Gemini): new knowledge, ideas, contacts, mental and spiritual changes. We will be invited to “purify” old ideas and old relational dynamics (Jupiter in trine to Pluto). It is a transit that invites us to reflect on the use of the word. The trap of the transit can be that of dispersion of mental energy (another dark side of Gemini); therefore, we should be good at maintaining consistency in effort (Jupiter square Saturn). We will be very receptive to establishing relationships with individuals in resonance with our True Self (here I visualize the Tarot Archetypes “The Judgment” and “The World”). We will be invited to explore everything that intrigues us, to cheerfully encounter the new, the unknown. Jupiter in Gemini, especially when it is in a tense aspect with Saturn and Mars, will ask us to learn the art of listening. No communication/interaction/idea can be effective without honing this skill. E. Fromm talks about the art of listening to our True Self and cultivating internal dialogue in “The art of listening”. Plutarch in “The art of knowing how to listen” offers invaluable advice on the matter “We must judge first us and the speaker, wondering if we too might unknowingly stumble into some mistake. It is very easy, in fact, to blame others, but it is sterile and empty if we do not want that criticism also towards ourselves””; “In fact, anyone who immediately goes on the counterattack interrupts and breaks the logical flow of the conversation, ends up not listening and not being listened to”. Plutarch also writes that nature has endowed us with two ears and one language, “because we are required to listen more than speak”. To conclude, it is a transit that encourages new contacts, studies, connections, synergies relational etc… but only if I know how to listen to my heart (evolved Gemini) I really know how to listen to the Other and create/expand virtuous circles as Jupiter will ask for the next 12 months. “As in the eyes of those in front of us we can see reflected ours, so it must be with words: the speeches of others are our own speeches.
