FULL MOON 5/23: THE SOCRATIC MOON

The Archetype of Sagittarius evokes: discernment, knowledge, truth, new horizons, personal research, exploration, physical and mental journey, Archetype of the Innocent, goals, determination.
We are in the medium of rapidly evolving energies. Have you noticed, from the Eclipses onwards, how everything is accelerating? Each of us is fighting, facing our own demons (fears, anxieties, unresolved issues, uncertainties, false beliefs, dysfunctional dynamics), but not to be overwhelmed by them but rather to welcome them, ride them and transform them. The Moon, in fact, will be opposite the Sun and square to the M.C.: this is the invitation to become more aware, through KNOWLEDGE ( Archetype of Sagittarius), on what is right and not right for our life. All in the name of COHERENCE, which in spiritual terms is equivalent to heart-mind alignment.
It is a Moon that asks to EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS through PERSONAL RESEARCH stimulated by doubts, uncertainties, curiosity because only those who are ready to put in the effort evolve. constantly under discussion. We will be pushed to explore new possibilities by going beyond what is known. It is a Moon that is linked to the New Moon in Taurus whose mood was the concept of value. How can I perceive my value if I don’t know myself? And if I don’t know myself and don’t perceive my value, I’m not able to demonstrate discernment, that is, recognize what is right or wrong for my life. The good for man is to become what his deepest nature demands.
But what is “the deepest nature”? It is nothing other than the Soul.
Knowledge (Archetype of Sagittarius) allows us to “see” ourselves and therefore live joyfully (Jupiter, Sagittarius = vision, joy, vitality). Knowledge allows us to apply discernment, that is, to recognize what is best for us.

It is a Moon that speaks to us of willpower (Archetype of Sagittarius) and compassion (activation of Neptune). Here I visualize the Tarot Archetypes Strength and Temperance. Therefore the understanding that everything contributes to the Good, both the “good” and the “bad” is only possible through discernment. It is a Moon that asks us to explore (Archetype of Sagittarius) our interiority, even our dark side (Pluto retrograde). It will help us expose impostors, hypocrites, as well as repel parasitic energies. We will be invited to release (Full Moon) the superfluous, that is, what is useless, excess, excessive, inessential, useless, voluptuous, redundant, inconsistent. Another point of reflection that we can from the Moon of 5/23 and from Socrates is the following: knowing ourselves allows us not only to develop the art of discernment but also to AWAKEN THE DAIMON. The Daimon identifies the peculiarities of the character, from the beginning of early childhood, both in talents and in impulsive sides. It is also expressed through the shadow sides which, when left unaddressed, do a lot of damage. The Daimon is an entity that lies hidden and wants to be contacted in order to reveal the path to us (Pluto retrograde). It is the voice of: creativity, intuition, ability to renew oneself. Those who are unable to renew themselves lose contact with the daimon, remaining imprisoned by the repressed dark side. “I sense within myself something divine and demonic” stated Socrates. Plato would respond that “We are what we have chosen to be.” We always have a better choice when we are called to grasp the full meaning of our presence in the world (Sagittarius=Discernment).
Mars conjunct the North Node further pushes us to bring out the superficial, to listen internally, to have wedding ring. It may happen that we recognize ways in the Other that are different from ours, that cannot be shared, that do not resonate, and here the possibility of choice becomes apparent: we let go (Full Moon) but without judgment and with respect for free will, thus applying discernment. In this way we lay down our weapons and embrace peace.
The Stellium in Taurus, therefore, together with the Moon, underlines that true well-being is that of the Soul. Are we capable of feeling joy? Are we jovial? Do we know how to enjoy the little things? Or have we lost the ability to appreciate life in its simplicity and playfulness due to an excess of criticism, intolerance, dogma (unevolved Sagittarius archetype)? Where do criticism, intolerance and dogma come from? This is the Inner Child, wounded and angry. This is where wars arise, internal and individual ones, which are then reflected on a collective level. However, the Sign of Sagittarius also carries within it the Archetype of the Innocent. So let’s open up, embrace and free that Child. Neptune at the 29th tells of the need for spiritual awakening, of compassion towards the inner Child, even where it may seem impossible.
