This is a 37-year-old from Erice, in the Trapani area, who will have to answer for detention for sale of animal species without documentation. The forestry carabinieri of the Palermo nature crime center identified him.

The man had put up for sale19 specimens of ‘Testudo Hermanni‘, (Land Tortoise) without documentation and marking systems. It isa species protectedby the Washington Convention and therefore “not harvestable” in the wild, for which there is a ban on possession and salewithout the required documentation.
