“I consider this agency perhaps disrespectful towards three magistrates who are part of the Covisoc organisation, extraordinary professionals, super partes“. These are the declarations of the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, on the sidelines of the conference ‘Between crisis and relaunch: the economic situation of Italian football’, held at the University of Florence, regarding the idea, da part of the Government, to establish a control agency for the accounts of professional clubs.
Gravina continues: “We suddenly realize today that Covisoc would no longer be independent, when instead Covisoc, history says it and I say it too, has a function assigned by law, that is that of ensuring that a club starts and arrives at the end of the championship. Covisoc has no commitment to impact the budget to make you improve or get worse, that is your choice, Covisoc must guarantee our system that you leave and arrive, because the value of fair competition must not be altered”.
