Gialappa’s Band launches ‘Noi dire Elezioni’: the show commenting on the European vote

Evening of entertainment and debates with the participation of artists, activists, journalists and experts on national and international politics

ROME – On the occasion of election night, the Office of the European Parliament and the Representation in Italy of the European Commission are organizing an evening of entertainment and debates with the participation of artists, activists, journalists and experts in national politics and international. The event, open to the public, will be partly commented and animated by Gialappa’s Band and other characters from their show. Free admission.

THE EVENING

The evening was born as an opportunity tocelebrate the vote, a moment of celebration that will count on the entertainment of Gialappa’s Band and the participation, among others, ofTudor Laurini< /strong>. It will also be an opportunity to meet some of the many collaborators of the #UsailYourVoto campaign, aimed at promoting electoral participation, particularly among young people. During the first part of the event, Paolo Valentino, editorialist for Corriere della Sera, will present his latest book Nello vene di Bruxelles. Then, at the close of the polls, journalists and experts will analyze and comment on the results of the elections in Italy and in the other member states with a special focus on the balance between the various groups in the new European Parliament and the possible majorities in the legislature, crucial for the election of the President of the European Commission.

THE GUESTS

From 11.15pm, projections on the composition of the next plenary, which will meet in mid-July in Strasbourg, will be illustrated, with live connections from Brussels. Taking part in the debate will be Maurizio Caprara, Andrea Colamedici and Maura Gancitano from Tlon, Stefano Feltri, Valerio Nicolosi, Nicoletta Pirozzi, Lorenzo Pregliasco, Gianni Riotta and Francesca Venturi. The event, opened by institutional greetings from Carlo Corazza, director of the European Parliament Office in Italy, and Antonio Parenti, Representative of the European Commission in Italy, will begin with the screening of the official video of #UsailTuoVoto and with the Luci d videos ‘Europe and the Lights of Italy. The evening will be moderated and hosted by TGCOM24 journalists Valeria De March and Carolina Sardelli.
