ROME – Giacomo Bozzoli would have passed through Spain even before the Supreme Court ruling that sentenced him to life imprisonment for the murder of his uncle. The man, who fled with his partner Antonella Colossi and her 9-year-old son, apparently registered with his name and surname in a hotel on June 30th. This was revealed by Il Corriere della Sera. Bozzoli would thus have given the identity card to the hotel which would then, as usual, send it to the European police forces. A gesture of a simple tourist which, however, is important for reconstructing his movements.

Investigators are believed to be convinced that Bozzoli and family would have arrived in Spain with the man’s Maserati Levante, passing through France and heading towards the Iberian peninsula. The almost 40-year-old, who will turn 19 on July 19, has an expired passport. His traces, however, are lost here and since the day of the sentence there has been no news or sighting.
Daniele Colossi, the fugitive’s father-in-law, has launched an appeal through his lawyers for Bozzoli to return and bring his daughter and granddaughter home: “This affair is destroying me. I hope that my daughter’s partner turns himself in as soon as possible for his sake but above all for that of my daughter and my grandson. As far as I’m concerned, I can only say that in life I have always worked honestly and respecting the law. For this reason I immediately set about disposition of the investigators because I believe that this is the best thing for everyone. I hope that the matter will be concluded as soon as possible.”
