Germany authorizes Kiev to strike targets in Russia

ROME – Germany gives the green light to Ukraine’s use of German weapons against military targets in Russia: a spokesperson for Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the choice today.
Of the decision, linked in particular to an offensive by the Moscow army has been underway since this month in the north-eastern sector of Kharkiv, it said in a statement. “Ukraine has the right, guaranteed by international law, to defend itself against these attacks” underlined the spokesman, Steffen Hebestreit. “To do so, it can use the weapons provided to it, including ours.” The German press agency Dpa also reported the press release in urgent news.
