The ASL Roma 6: the flagship of assistance to chronic patients with 360° care
ROME – Record in Lazio for the official opening of the Community Hospital with cutting-edge telemedicine which promotes digital development of healthcare by consolidating the relationship between doctor and patient. The latter will feel followed right into his home, with trained specialists who will be able to assist him and direct him according to his needs. Another flagship is the assistance to chronic patients with 360° care. The ASL Roma 6 – we read in the press release – at the push of the Corporate Strategic Management, is rapidly continuing its path of reorganization and redevelopment of the territorial structures in line with the objectives dictated by the Lazio Region ahead of the prescribed times.
The Health Director Dr. Vincenzo Carlo The Queen and the Extraordinary Commissioner Dr. Francesco Marchitelli have undertaken a path of humanization of care and therefore also focused a lot of attention on territorial assistance understood as the patient’s primary reference in his place of life, compared to a hospital-centric vision typical of assistance for acute pathologies.
Doctor Stefano Villani, Director of the Territorial Department of ASL Roma 6, announces that 11 Community Houses will open in the six Districts of ASL Roma 6 which, in addition to Genzano, include the territories of Frascati, Albano Laziale, Ciampino, Pomezia, Velletri and Anzio. Facilities open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering local health and social-health services to the population.
But that’s not all, at the Genzano hospital – we read again – the Territorial Operations Center (COT) has been completed which carries out the function of coordinating the care of the person and of connecting the services and professionals involved in the various care settings: “I believe – declares the Health Director of ASL Roma 6 Dr. La Regina – that through the integration of home health care with social interventions it will be possible to achieve in many cases the full autonomy and independence of the elderly and disabled person at one’s home, reducing the risk of inappropriate hospitalizations is now possible in Genzano, a renovated hospital where patients are assisted with professionalism, thanks to the strengthening of the coordination of taking care of the person and also thanks to the introduction of tools. of telemedicine and telemonitoring which make this hospital a cutting-edge flagship for the whole of Lazio”.
Furthermore, yesterday the family and community nurses visited the hospital in Genzano, true “angels of care” who travel around the area of the ASL Roma 6 on a weekly basis to assist chronic patients at home: “The Family and Community nurse – says Dr. Claudio Federici, Director of nursing health professions of ASL Roma 6 – deals with complex nursing care, health promotion, prevention and management of individual health processes in correlation with family doctors and other professionals of the territory, such as physiotherapists and social workers, in synergy with the resources available in the community. ASL Roma 6 activated this figure in 2020 with a project developed together with ASL 4 and 5 and the OPI of Rome Three years later, by virtue of the PNRR and Ministerial Decree no. 77 of 2022, the project was reviewed and, with great satisfaction, it was included in the AGENAS Best Practices”.
