Genoa, car with four young people overturns: the 21-year-old driver dies 

The accident during the night in Rezzoaglio: the car crashed into a tree. The other three young people were seriously injured

GENOA – Fatal accident, late yesterday evening, in the eastern hinterland of Genoa, in Rezzoaglio. The one who lost his life was 21-year-old Riccardo Cella, a resident of Borzonasca, driving the car which, for reasons yet to be ascertained, lost the road, overturned and crashed against a tree. On board the car were three other young people, two hospitalized at the San Martino hospital in Genoa and one hospitalized at the Lavagna hospital, all in code red.

The accident occurred around 10.30pm on state road 654, between the hamlets of Villanoce and Gramizza. Upon their arrival, the rescuers found the young man already lifeless and a girl and another boy stuck in the passenger compartment. Outside, however, another girl who had managed to get out of the car and alert the emergency services. The rescue operations were complicated, which also saw the intervention of the mountain rescue and air ambulance. The road remained closed all night
