Genoa-Ajaccio leaves, what you need to know about Moby’s new route to Corsica
It will allow tourists heading towards the center and south of Corsica to arrive directly at their destination, without having to cross the entire island
ROME – Moby’s new Genoa-Ajaccio line starts today, the big news in this season which marks the company’s 50 years of serving Corsica. Officially presented among the novelties of the 2024 season at the last TTG in Rimini for the Italian market and at the ITB in Berlin for the international market, the new line further enriches Moby’s offer for the island. The route joins the historic Genoa-Bastia and Livorno-Bastia, the return of the Piombino-Bastia and the Santa Teresa di Gallura-Bonifacio, active all year round.
GENOA-AJACCIO, THE NEWS
The inauguration of this new route will thus allow tourists heading towards the center and south of Corsica to arrive directly at their destination, without having to cross the entire island. Added to Moby’s innovations for Corsica are the use of a more modern canal and a longer seasonality with departures from March to November.
On the Genoa-Ajaccio-Genoa line, which will be active until September 30, there will be four weekly return departures in June and July and six departures weekly return trips in August and September, with the following times: Genoa-Ajaccio with departure at 9.00pm and arrival at 6.00am, Ajaccio-Genoa with departure at 11.59pm and arrival at 8.00am.
The ships that will make this connection continuing or departing from Porto Torres and which will alternate on this line are the Moby Tommy and theMoby Ale Due equipped with all the comforts to allow passengers to travel in total relaxation.
