ROME – After the success of ‘Primavera Sound’, the program of concerts, events and festivals continues in which music and sustainability are once again the absolute protagonists.
In the musical field, Plenitude – a Benefit Company controlled by Eni – renews its commitment to the dissemination of a culture of conscious use of energy, starting from Spain and Portugal with support for the third consecutive year at Primavera Sound, one of the most important events in Europe and the world which ended in Barcelona on June 2nd and continues with the second stage in Porto from June 6th to 8th. The artists on the lineup include Lana Del Rey, SZA, Pulp, Mitski, Charli XCX, Peggy Gou, The National, Justice and many others. Also for 2024, Plenitude, as for the last edition, contributed to powering the two festivals with electricity certified through guarantees of origin of European origin, as fed into the grid and produced by systems powered 100% by renewable sources. Furthermore, the company has planned a special activation on its stages in both cities that allows participants to show the most important energy, their own, and to have fun by creating social content to bring the magical atmosphere of Primavera Sound everywhere . Some interactive screens near the stages are used to project images of the audience taken live, capturing all the energy of the people present at the festival, also thanks to spectacular visual effects developed for the occasion by local artists. Furthermore, for the third consecutive year, Plenitude was among the Sustainability Partners of The Island Fuze Tea, the experiential Festival on the island of Pantelleria.

With a series of initiatives aimed at urban regeneration and the valorisation of local resources, Plenitude has decided to support OPERA Festival again this year, a contemporary music event that comes to life in Milo (Catania) from 22 to 25 August. Four days of fun among the views of the Etna park, the highest volcano in Europe which is the backdrop to the event and which pays homage not only to music, but also to local realities, artisan traditions, Etna nature and to its magical atmospheres. Plenitude has already donated a photovoltaic system to the Milo library. The intervention is part of a broader redevelopment project of the structure which has made it a true Creative Hub, whose spaces have been designated as coworking and design areas for the city community, supporting entrepreneurship local in order to generate new jobs and widespread benefits. A work of energy and territorial redevelopment, which Plenitude as a Benefit Society has also supported thanks to the installation, in the urban area, of electric charging stations to also encourage e-driver tourism, and by providing solar generators for fuel some specific events within the Opera Festival.

Finally, for the first time, Plenitude is a Partner of FestiValle, the international music and digital arts festival of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento (UNESCO Heritage) which will be held from 8 to 11 August , organized by a group of young people passionate about music, art and culture. The main aim of the event is to bring a selection of established and emerging talents from the international jazz scene to the archaeological and UNESCO heritage sites of the Valley of the Temples with live shows and innovative and experiential formats. This year, Plenitude’s commitment will involve 3 places in the Sicilian city, starting from the Oratory of S.Rosa, where the Company will install a photovoltaic system. The energy that will be produced will be fundamental to incentivize and restore the various summer initiatives. Plenitude’s support will also be central for the S.Rosa Church as the donated energy will be used for some daily sports activities and for the church’s football pitch. Finally, the company will contribute to strengthening the lighting of the ‘Haitem’ basketball court on the Agrigento seafront.
In addition to music, sport will also be the protagonist of Plenitude’s summer 2024. From 13 June to 14 July, the Company will be a partner of SenStation Summer, a new format created with the aim of giving continuity to the SenStation project which with its ‘On Ice’ version last winter revolutionized Piazza Duca D’Aosta in front of the Central Station, making it an attractive destination and not just a place of passage. For SenStation Summer 2024, Plenitude will create a skate park dedicated both to the community of urban skaters, born and raised over the years in Piazza Duca D’Aosta, and to all fans of this sport. Furthermore, thanks to the Company, electricity will be supplied to the event certified through guarantees of origin of European origin, as fed into the grid and produced by plants powered 100% by renewable sources. Finally, Plenitude will install a series of solar panels in Piazza Duca D’Aosta that will contribute renewable energy to the lighting of the event.
