“Francesca was alive at 9.30am”: what the employer said about the death of the Rome beautician

The man who was with Francesca Russo is her employer, owner of some beauty centers in Rome: he told investigators that he only realized that the 26-year-old had died at lunchtime

BOLOGNA – “At 9.30 she was alive, we had to go to the beach, I let her sleep“. These are the explanations given to investigators by the man who was with Francesca Russo when she died. This is a 39-year-old man, owner of the beauty center in the Prati area of Rome for which Francesca worked, and who had been having a relationship with the girl for a few weeks. When she died, the girl was at her home, a three-family house in via Alessandro Guidoni in Ciampino, on the outskirts of Rome, and she was sleeping on the sofa. The two had returned home very late (at 4.30) from an evening spent clubbing in Rome, including the Jackie O’ in Via Veneto. Corriere della sera tells what the man told the investigators.

THE STREET CHECK AT 4 IN THE NIGHT

The autopsy on the body of the 26-year-old beautician clarified that the girl died of gastric haemorrhage. It could perhaps be linked to the anticoagulant drugs that she had been taking for a couple of weeks due to surgery on her nasal septum she had undergone. The 39-year-old told investigators that he was not initially informed of the operation, and that he only found out about the operation and the medicines later. In the evening spent together, however, Francesca did not drink much. In fact, on the journey home, she was driving the car (a red Lamborghini owned by the man) precisely because he had drunk a little more than her. The two, the man said, were stopped by the Carabinieri for a check around 4. Then, after checking their documents, they left again. The tests confirm that the girl did not consume alcohol in large quantities or drugs. However, the results of the toxicological test have yet to arrive.

AT LUNCH TIME THE MAN REALIZED THAT IT WAS FRANCESCA AND DEAD

The 39-year-old said he only noticed that the girl was no longer breathing around lunchtime, before he thought she was asleep. And that he immediately called for help. The young woman’s family wants to see clearly and asks to understand if he really did everything possible, without wasting time to call for help. The mother, desperate, wondered what happened in that house and whether her daughter was “left to die”. According to what the Corriere writes, the 39-year-old would be very upset by the incident.

DOUBTS TO CLARIFY

There remain some doubts to be clarified: why did the girl sleep on the sofa if the two were together? The sofa is located on the ground floor, the bedroom on the first floor. The woman who lives in the apartment above the house where Francesca died said in an interview with the Dire agency that she heard a slight moan, late at night, coming from the apartment. He said he thought they were having sex. However, he doesn’t remember what time it was, it was still dark. But if she heard, how is it possible that she didn’t hear him? The investigation by the Velletri Prosecutor’s Office is currently without suspects. The investigations are entrusted to the Carabinieri of Castel Gandolfo.
