For the relaunch of its villages, the Marche Region is putting 24 million on the table

A 24 million euro tender for projects to redevelop trade and tourism activities and enhance the villages

ANCONA- Redevelop the villages of the Marche by relaunching tourist and economic activities to promote their development. The Marche Region puts on the table a tender worth approximately 24 million euros after the approval of the Borghi Law. The “Welcoming Village” tender is in fact the central intervention of the “village strategy” which aims to finance projects to create a driving circuit of excellence for the entire regional system. Of the total, 9.5 million are regional funds and 15 million come from the rotation fund, and are part of a broader allocation which also includes various lines of intervention and reserves in European tenders, for a total of over 100 million euro, explains the Region. The projects will have to give new life to the socio-economic fabric of the villages with interventions for the redevelopment and valorisation of public spaces and services and with projects and measures for the promotion and activation of entrepreneurial and commercial initiatives, particularly in the tourism sector. All to create development dynamics and employment impacts on the territory. The call is dedicated to the Municipalities to build a unitary and coherent project, with strong identity value, which includes both interventions with a public beneficiary and measures to benefit the economic activities of the village with public-private strategies identified through the public intermediate planning.

The granting of a contribution up to a maximum limit of 500,000 euros is foreseen for projects presented by the Municipality in single form or up to a limit of one million for the project presented by a network of Municipalities through the lead municipality (for the benefit of a maximum of three municipalities, in reference to a maximum of three villages). The call opens on May 7th and will be open until September 20that 12pm, a “large” period of time, underlines the Region, “to give the beneficiaries the opportunity to explore the opportunities and allow the organization of the best strategies and partnerships for the success of the initiative”.
