 ROME – “In the first three months of the year, our offices issued the street documentation to500 applicants. 90% of them young people between 35 and 40 years old. If it continues like this < strong>in 2024 we will lose almost 20 thousand at a national level”. The alarm comes from the president of the Order of Doctors(Omceo) of Rome and Lazio, Antonio Magi< /strong>, on the pages of Corriere della Sera. “From January 1st to today as an Order we have received 103 requests – he adds -. We are already at two thirds of those received during the entire last year. And if this trend continues, in 2024 we will be approaching the a thousand questions. How can you blame him if elsewhere doctors earn more, work in better conditions and without the “threat” of criminal compensation?“.

FROM 2019 TO 2021 EXODUS OF OVER 20 THOUSAND DOCTORS

According to data reported by the Sumai union, 21,397 went abroad from 2019 to 2021, among which 14,341 specialists (excluding those who left for study reasons). An exodus that has resumed the trend after the pause linked to Covid.
