Festival “Vasco Rossi” in Zocca: finalists on the stages of San Siro and Bari

ZOCCA (Modena) – The top seven classified will be able to perform on one of the seven dates of San Siro del Vasco Live 2024, each having 15 minutes of performance available. Those classified from eighth to 11th place, however, will be able to perform on the four dates of the tour which will be held at the San Nicola stadium in Bari. The protagonists are those enrolled in the “Zocca country music festival” , a singing competition promoted by the local authorities which now records the collaboration of the most illustrious citizen of Zocco: Vasco Rossi.

In fact, something more has now been born from a simple friendship between the latter and the organizers. “Usually – they say in the Municipality when presenting the festival – it is customary to say that a person originates from the land in which he was born”, but Vasco represents one of the few cases in the world in which the opposite can be said , precisely because the town of The Modenese Apennines became famous thanks to him, the ‘Zocca rocker’, almost “as if Zocca had been born in the eyes of the world after him”. The finalists, who will perform in the premises of the municipal theater dedicated to Vasco, will be selected by a jury of experts, who will shortly be appointed by the municipal council, and will have the great opportunity of being able to perform before the start of the concerts of the 2024 tour.

After an initial selection, the competitors deemed suitable will be able to register for the festival and participate in the casting, taking place at the “Il Blasco” theater between 17 and 26 May. Subsequently, the 14 competitors will be chosen who will be able to access the final scheduled for Friday 31 May, again at the “Blasco”.
The Municipality adds on Vasco that “together with the strong attachment to his land, Zocca, and his great availability, we agreed to characterize the city even more in the name of our beloved rock star through various initiatives, some already implemented in these years, for example the Albachiara illuminations, and others that will be born in the future, in addition to the festival that we are officially launching today”.
