BOLOGNA – “The president of Codacons envies my abs“. And again “Yet another useless trial against that useless association”. Again: “One day in the magistrate’s court, protect me“. And finally, arriving at the Court and finding the crowd of journalists and cameras waiting, the comment is “It looks like the Met Gala”. The comments, full of irony and sarcasm, are those that Fedez reserves on Instagram for today’s hearing, in the Court of Rome, for the trial in which he is accused of slander after the complaint presented by the president of Codacons.

Today, the rapper will be heard during the preliminary hearing for this matter, which dates back to 2020, and in today’s hearing the judge must decide whether to send him to trial or not. It was he himself who asked to be heard. In 2020, in one of the many episodes of the ‘war’ between the rapper and the consumer association, Fedez accused Codacons of using some misleading advertising bannerson its website to obtain funds with the excuse of the pandemic from Covid-19. Carlo Rienzi, president of the association, in reaction denounced him for defamation.
Since this morning, on social media, the rapper has been dispensing jokes and barbs about the hearing. In short videos published as Instagram stories, hejokes about the trial, jokes with his assistant, with the lawyers. And he also asks the waiter at the law firm who he thinks is right. Finally, he posts ironic photos like the one of himself shirtless in the mirror. With the writing: “The president of Codacons is envious of my abs.” Another story Fedez sends the mail when it arrives in the Court area. He comments on the crowd of reporters and writes: “It looks like the Met Gala“.
