ROME – The firstIpsos exit polls of the first round of the legislative elections in France confirm the success – and improved – of Marine Le Pen’s party and Jordan Bardella: Rassemblement Nationale (Rn) is at 34%, compared to 31%on 9 June.
In second position follows the New Popular Front (NFP), an alliance created for the occasion between four left-wing parties, with 28.1%. It includes communists, socialists, greens and France Insoumise.

Today’s electoral countmarks a record victory for the Lepenists of the extreme right, anti-European and anti-migrants, since the best result dates back to 2022, when they came in third place just above 18 %.The current performance almost doubles.
Following this, the Republicans fall to 10%, while the right-wing partyEric Zemmour’s La Reconquête drops to 0.6%. Just over 48 million voters were called to the polls to renew the 577 seats in parliament. Second round set for July 7.
