RIMINI – It was supposed to be a normal company lunch, to exchange Christmas greetings between colleagues, but it turned into a nightmare for a thirty-year-old from the province ofForlì. On Christmas Eve the woman presented herself at the Forlì Police Headquarters and reported to the Flying Squad police that she had been the victim of sexual violence by a work colleague. He also presented audio and messages received from the man following the rape. The Code Red was therefore immediately activated, investigations and searches began which finally led to a man being placed under house arrest on charges of aggravated sexual assault and possession of narcotics. Four other men are also in trouble, under investigation for personal aiding and abetting because they allegedly sidetracked the investigations to “help” their colleague.
The facts therefore date back to a few days before the Christmas holidays, when the victim participated in a lunch organized in his employer’s home, in the Forlì area, with other colleagues. However, during meals he had overindulged and accepted a colleague’s offer of a ride home, not imagining what he might face. In fact, the man, instead of taking her home immediately, went away with her in a car outside the city, taking advantage of the woman’s psychophysical conditions, forcing her to undergo sexual acts against her will. In the following days the man convinced the other colleagues present at the lunch to sidetrack the investigations but in the end he was tracked down by the investigators, through the verification of the wiretaps which revealed a “climate of hostility”, hence their involvement of the others four men for complicity.
