“As leader of the Brothers of Italy and the European Conservatives, my goal is very simple: to create an alternative majority in Europe to the current one, finally sending the left of every color into opposition. That is, we want to do exactly what we did in Italy on 25 September 2022. For me ‘never with the left’ applies in Rome, as in Brussels. We have been and will always be with the centre-right people, and we intend to bring this scheme to Europe too”. It is natural that other European formations alternative to the left will also benefit from this great success of ours. Do you really believe it is possible to have a European government similar in political substance to the one you support in Italy? “Whether it is possible or not is up to European citizens alone to determine. More and more Europeans are aware of the need for a decisive change in the EU, and it is precisely those who truly believe in the union of European peoples who are disappointed by what Brussels has done in these years I am convinced that a virtuous synthesis can be found between the European People’s Party, Conservatives and other right-wing political forces“.
“GOVERNMENT AND MAJORITY IN EXCELLENT SHAPE”
And he has no doubts about the relations between the allies: “The government and the majority are in excellent shape. It is physiological that in the electoral campaign, especially in an electoral campaign like that of the European elections which is proportional, each party tries to underline the own identity. But this does not cast any doubt on the compactness, solidity, incisiveness of the majority and of the Executive”. Prime Minister Meloni says so.

A person like many others, who gets up every morning, goes to work and does it with seriousness and self-denial to his role, trying to build a better Italy than the one he inherited”.
