EU nominations, Giorgia Meloni returns to protest: “Italy should be given what it deserves”

Giorgia Meloni did not swallow the agreement for the new positions: "If a European Union still exists, Italy should be recognized what it deserves, simply because it is the third European economy"

ROME – “I don’t agree either on the method or on the merits, and that’s the reason why – as I said – I didn’t vote for the agreement that some thought they should do on the highest European positions. Then, here in Italy someone said that we had to adapt ‘because then we go to negotiate and try to bring home a better result’. I reject this story, I reject the idea that what is owed Italy is recognized only if the Government adapts. There is still a European Union, Italy must be recognized what it deserves, simply because it is the third European economy. it is a founding country, it is the second largest manufacturing company in Europe and also because among the great European nations it is the one with the most stable Government“. This was said by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, guest of Paolo Del Debbio on “Dritto e Rovescio”, broadcast this evening on Retequattro.
