During the Radio Italia live broadcast, Ghali asks for a minute of silence for the Palestinian victims

The artist to the public: "This is the only silence we have to maintain, for the rest never be afraid to speak out against any type of injustice"

ROME – “Before continuing, can we have a minute of silence? Just a minute, for all the victims in Palestine. Can we?”. So Ghali stopped Radio Italia’s live broadcast in Piazza Duomo in Milan to remember the Palestinian victims of the Gaza Strip. The public responded first with applause and then silence fell on the square. “This is the only silence we have to maintain, for the rest, never be afraid to speak out against any type of injustice” , explained Ghali.

The interpreter of ‘Casa Mia’, very attentive to what is happening in the Middle East, had already expressed himself in favor of the Palestinian cause during the last edition of Sanremo Festival, when before leaving the stage he said: “Stop the genocide”.
