ROME – Among the measures discussed and approved this week by the Chamber of Deputies, the new framework law on international missions stands out. Furthermore, on Friday morning the chamber remembered Alcide De Gasperi, 70 years after his death.


The aim of the reform is to simplify the bureaucratic procedures that regulate the authorization and financing for sending troops and resources on peace and cooperation missions abroad.


The measure was approved with 201 votes in favor, those of the center-right majority plus Pd, Azione and Italia Viva. 48 against: Movimento 5 stelle and Alleanza Verdi Sinistra opposed.
