ROME – Cyberspace and artificial intelligence permeate our lives, even if we don’t realize it. This brings a myriad of benefits in terms of services and possibilities that open up to ordinary citizens, public bodies and businesses. But the accessibility of increasingly sophisticated tools also benefits cyber criminals. The ongoing revolution therefore requires a rapid development of technological and regulatory tools that allow entities such as governments, law enforcement, the judiciary and intelligence to prevent or combat such threats. Also because the role of AI in today’s international crises is already visible. A theme at the center of the Italian presidency of the G7 and of an event organized last October 11 and 12 by the Presidency of the Council at the Farnesina together with the Vittorio Occorsio Foundation, which allowed institutional voices and experts to compare the challenges to be faced with the available tools.
