Dire Agency, journalists join the graphic designers’ strike on May 13th against layoffs

The graphic designers of the Dire agency have accepted over two years of solidarity contracts to collaborate in the recovery of the company's finances

ROME – The assembly of journalists from the Dire agency joins the mobilization of graphic designers and calls a strike for tomorrow, Monday 13 May, at the same time as the abstention from work decided by colleagues against the 7 redundancies plan announced by the company. We would like to remind you that the graphic designers have accepted over two years of solidarity contracts to collaborate in the recovery of the company’s finances. The assembly thus expresses full solidarity with the graphic designers and reiterates the appeal to the company to withdraw the layoffs which burden an editorial reality which is already suffering the consequences of journalists fired last 28 December. We therefore take this opportunity to ask the company for their total reinstatement: in such a necessary relaunch phase for our agency, we believe it is necessary to consider investment in human resources as an absolute priority.< /p>
