PALERMO – The autopsy on the body of Angelo Onorato will be performed today at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the ‘Paolo Giaccone’ Polyclinic in Palermo, the entrepreneur found dead in his SUV on Saturday afternoon on a slip road parallel to the A29 motorway which from the Sicilian capital it leads to Mazara del Vallo.
The European deputy Francesca Donato, Onorato’s wife, has appointed the former coroner, now regional councilor for social policies, Nuccia Albano, as family consultant. The Palermo prosecutor’s office, led by Maurizio de Lucia, has opened a file with the hypothesis of murder: an act necessary precisely to allow the necessary investigations, some of which are unrepeatable. We continue to investigate at 360 degrees, without favoring any of the hypotheses in the field. For three days, investigators have been continuing to investigate Onorato’s life, especially on the work front.
Yesterday Donato broke his silence: “I am experiencing the most difficult and devastating moments of my life – said the DC MEP -. The pain is unimaginable. I ask everyone to refrain from speculating on the causes of my husband’s death. There are investigations underway, let’s let the police work. I thank from the bottom of my heart all those who in these terrible hours have had words of affection for my beloved Angel and have shown closeness and solidarity for my family.
