Dale Pike’s brother writes to Chico Forti’s mother: “I hope we can meet again and mourn the wasted lives together”

ROME – During the episode of ‘Quarto Grado’ broadcast on Retequattro, the message sent by Bradley Pike, the brother of Dale Pike, the man killed by Chico Forti according to the American justice, to Chico Forti’s mother. Now that Forti has returned to Italy, Bradley wanted to express his solidarity with the family, in particular the mother of the 65-year-old from Trentino. Bradley Pike has always been convinced of the innocence of our compatriot.

Here is the message delivered yesterday to Mrs Maria Loner: “I am really very happy that she has finally managed to see her son again after all these years and after the tragedies and mourning that both our families have had to deal with in the last twenty-six years. The cruelest thing that can be inflicted on a person, especially if they are a mother, is to separate them from their child, regardless of their actions /lost, thinking about what they could have been if this whole story hadn’t happened. THE DEATH OF DALE PIKE

On February 15, 1998 Dale Pike, a 42-year-old originally from Sydney, was found lifeless on Sewer Beach in Miami, Florida. On the body, left completely naked, forensic scientists found the signs of two 22 caliber gunshots to the back of the head. The son of Anthony Pike, owner of the Pikes Hotel in Ibiza, had arrived in the United States the day before his death. He had met Forti, with whom he was negotiating the sale of the hotel. According to reconstructions, Pike drove to the parking lot of a restaurant to meet up with Forti. In the second (later we will see why) version of the Italian, the two greeted each other around 7pm. A few hours later, Pike was killed. The death, it was ascertained, occurred between 8pm and 10pm.After a few days, the Miami police questioned Forti as a person informed of the facts.The The Italian’s fatal mistake was initially denying that he had met Dale Pike before his death. In fact, the police soon learned of his relationship with the victim. On February 20, Chico Forti returned to the Miami police offices, without a lawyer, with a series of documents on business relationships with the victim. After 14 hours of interrogation, Chico Forti was arrested.
