Clockwork justice against Toti? The Prosecutor’s Office: “The request for arrest is dated December 27”

The arrests carried out today in Liguria (including that of Giovanni Toti) were requested by the Genoa Prosecutor's Office on 27 December: the chief prosecutor underlined this when he was asked about these measures 20 days before the European elections

GENOA – “Our request is from five months ago, precisely from December 27“. Thus the chief prosecutor of Genoa, Nicola Piacente, responds to the controversy raised by some centre-right political exponents regarding the suspicions about the precautionary measures taken this morning,a few weeks after the European elections. In this morning’s press note, the prosecutor had already specified that the Prosecutor’s request had been filed last December 27, but the order for the execution of the coercive and interdictory precautionary measures, personal and real, was only placed yesterday by Judge Paola Faggioni.
