ROME – “We will remember you as two united, courageous little brothers, who with the sole strength of love tried to help each other, without thinking twice, without fear, with the sole desire to succeed. Showing us how a little brother can be a hero for another“. Thus begins the letter written by Rosa Carlucci and Filomena Pappalardi, respectively mother and sister of Francesco and Salvatore (known by all as Ciccio and Tore), the two children who disappeared in Gravina in Puglia, in the province of Bari on 5 June 2006when they were 11 and 13 years old, and found lifeless on February 25, 2008, in a cistern in the ruins of the ‘House of a Hundred Rooms’, now mummified.

You are “two angels who will illuminate our path, you will always be present and alive in our memories. You are our angels, bye Ciccio and Tore”, write the two women in the 18th year since the death of their two little brothers.  At the end of March the Pappalardi family presented a request to the prosecutor’s office for the reopening of the investigations. In the request to the Bari Prosecutor’s Office, new facts are said to have emerged regarding their death.
