CANNES – Cate Blanchett walks the Cannes red carpet like a diva and also remembering her commitment to important causes (she is in fact a “goodwill” ambassador for the UNHCR, the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Refugees). On the seventh evening of the Cannes Film Festival 2024 she was in fact immortalized in an extremely elegant dress by Haider Ackermann for Jean Paul Gaultier which caught the attention of photographers and reporters for the possible references, in the colors and fabric, to the Palestinian flag.
So shortly before participating, together with the other actors, in the screening of “The Apprentice”, the film inspired by the story of former American president Donald Trump, the The Australian actress – with US citizenship – would have found a way to give her “silent” support to the Palestinian cause.
