Campi Flegrei, strong shock at 1.25pm and then seismic swarm: what happened

The earth still trembles in the Campi Flegrei: a strong tremor of 3.7 was also felt in Naples at 1.25pm. Then the seismic swarm started: no damage was reported

NAPLES – An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 occurred in the Campi Flegrei area at 1.25pm today. The earthquake, also felt by the population of Naples as well as by the municipalities of the Phlegraean area, was located at a depth of 3 kilometers.
A second earthquake, of magnitude 3.6, was located at a depth of 4 kilometers , was recorded in the same area at 1.26pm.

SEISMIC SWARM IN PROGRESS: NO DAMAGE REPORTED

From initial checks no damage has been reported due to the seismic swarm underway since 12.31 in the Campi Flegrei area, announced by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.
In following the event, the Italian Situation room of the Civil Protection Department got in touch with the local structures of the national civil protection service.
