Camorra business, 9 years requested for Tony Colombo and his wife Tina Rispoli

The couple is accused of external competition in mafia association

ROME – Nine years in prison for Tony Colombo and his wife Tina Rispoli. This is what prosecutor Lucio Giugliano requested for the couple on trial with an abbreviated procedure and accused of external complicity in mafia association.

The neomelodic singer was, together with his partner (widow of the boss Gaetano Marino), among the 27 people arrested in Naples in an operation against the Di Lauro clan conducted by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA). The couple ended up in handcuffs for alleged illicit business with the Secondigliano criminal group.

According to prosecutors, Tony Colombo and his wife invested 35 thousand euros in a contraband cigarette factory in Acerra, which was later seized. They also created a clothing brand, “Corleone,” in partnership with the boss Vincenzo Di Lauro. Colombo has denied all charges, explaining that he is “just an entrepreneur and has nothing to do with the Camorra.”

A higher sentence was requested for Vincenzo Di Lauro, “Enzuccio,” son of Ciruzzo ‘o milionario, the clan leader. The same penalty was also invoked for Raffaele Rispoli, Tina’s brother.
