ROME – New intimidation against Don Maurizio Patriciello, the anti-Camorra parish priest of Caivano. A man approached armed with a knife sticking out of his pocket. The police forces present stopped him in time.
The news emerged in these hours, reported by the president of the Anti-Mafia commission, Chiara Colosimo. It would be the relative of a Camorra boss. The episode was confirmed by the prefect of Naples Michele Di Bari, who, on the sidelines of a meeting of the committee for public order and safety, explained: “That same evening I was with Don Maurizio Patriciello”.
The prefect speaks of a “delicate situation”, which Di Bari is following “minute after minute”, and which the priest is experiencing “with great serenity, because Don Maurizio knows that he is at his side State”.
