ROME – This year Brigitte Bardot turns 90, an important milestone that she will celebrate on September 28th. To celebrate the myth, ‘Bardot’ will be broadcast tomorrow in prime time on Canale 5: the miniseries created and directed by Danièle and Christopher Thompson.
Three evenings – an R.T.I. co-production with Federation Entertainment and France Télévisions – which retrace the rise of Brigitte Bardot and the revolution she embodied in the imagination of a generation. Between loves, films, weddings, the birth of a child, the miniseries reveals how Brigitte Anne Marie Bardot became the ‘Bardot’, undisputed diva of the 50s and 60s, capable of being adored like a goddess, undisputed icon of fashion and of animal rights movements and hated at the same time.
Playing the icon who upset all norms and revolutionized the feminine image of women both in cinema and in society is Julia De Nunez, a young French actress with an incredible resemblance to the diva. At his side Victor Belmondo, Géraldine Pailhas, Hyppolyte Girardot, Yvan Attal, Anne Le Ny, Oscar Lesage, Noham Edje and Jules Benchetrit.
