BOLOGNA – The alleged perpetrator has been arrested of the murder of a 21-year-old Tunisian which occurred yesterday evening in the Montagnola Park in Bologna. According to the Police Headquarters, he is a 17-year-old , also Tunisian, with some police records for robbery and drug dealing. The boy was arrested in the late afternoon by the Polfer in Piazza Medaglie d’Oro and taken to the Pratello juvenile prison.
The investigations are still ongoing, but according to what has been reconstructed so far by the investigators it seems that the crime “is born from the attempted theft of the victim’s bicycle, which resulted in a fight culminating in several stab wounds” which resulted fatal to the 21-year-old, who died shortly after being transported to the Maggiore Hospital.
The investigations, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor for minors Simone Purgato, “were immediately based mainly on some limited testimonies, which proved to be particularly useful”, while the Scientific Police “found the knife probably used to commit the crime, various shards of bottles and numerous traces of blood which are believed to belong to both the victim and the attacker”. Furthermore, it cannot be ruled out that during the scuffle “other people intervened, then moved away, who forcefully tried to block the attacker, causing him various injuries which however did not prevent him from fleeing. “. The elements acquired by the Flying Squad led the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office to issue a detention order against the 17-year-old, and at the same time “the various branches of the Police at a national level were alerted, as it could not be ruled out that the murderer could leave the city “. The boy was instead tracked down and stopped in Piazza delle Medaglie d’Oro.
