Atac driver saves a kitten stuck under the wheel and adopts it: “Albertino is fine now”

"I couldn't back away from the sign of destiny," said Francesco the driver

ROME – He saved a kitten that ended up under the wheel of the bus he was driving and then decided to adopt it. The story with a happy ending happened in Rome to an Atac driver. “I couldn’t back away from the sign of destiny – said Francesco, the driver – and so, when the shift was over, I went back to get the kitten from the girl who had offered to keep it for me. I called him Albertino < /strong>because he came out in front of me coming from via Alberto Luthuli. He’s fine now“.

Little Albertino has now found a home with our driver Francesco. The kitten, just a few months old, scared of the city, got stuck in the 075 bus. The intervention of the Fire Brigade was necessary to get him out – we read on the Atac social page – First, however, a vera started and its own solidarity competition between passengers and passers-by. The first to notice the little ‘intruder’ was our colleague who saw the kitten disappear under the car. Moments of apprehension, assuming the worst, then Francesco, getting out of the vehicle, realizes that the kitten has found refuge inside the front left wheel of the bus. From there, thanks to its small size, it continued towards the inside of the car, until it got stuck”.

All attempts to recover the little animal were in vain, with only the shrill meowing coming from inside the bodywork. Several passengers, some AMA employees and some kids passing by try together with Francesco. The Fire Brigade, alerted by the driver, will then save Albertino, also making use of the collaboration of Francesco who, driving the vehicle, carried out the necessary maneuvers to allow the recovery of the feline.
