At the Cannes Film Festival, Messi is among the first stars to walk the red carpet

CANNES- He showed up with a perfect outfit and without any stumbles at the opening ceremony of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Messi, the “Frenchie” dog, darling of the 2024 Oscars thanks to his interpretation in “Anatomy of a Fall” by Justine Triet (2023) is undoubtedly one of the first protagonists to cross the red carpet of the Croisette. The border collie which takes its name from the Argentine champion, with his new programme, entitled “Messi, the Cannes Film Festival seen from the height of a dog”, will accompany the event thanks to a series of 8 episodes of one minute each which will be broadcast from 14 to 25 May 2024 on French TV and social channels.
A curiosity: Messi is a border collie breed and is almost eight years old. Its owner Laura Martin Contini, a former dog trainer, is French, but of Italian origins.
