ANGI presents the third report on innovation and digital: all the data

Focus on investments and new trends, smart cities and mobility of the future, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence

ROME – This third edition of theYoung Innovators Business Forum promoted by the Angi-National Association of Young Innovators was full of guests and audiences. During the proceedings, in Milan, opened by the president < strong>Gabriele Ferrieri, the III report of the Observatory on innovation and digital was also presented with a focus on investments and new trends, smart cities and mobility of the future, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The report is promoted by Angi Ricerche in collaboration with Lab21.01 and edited by Roberto Baldassari, director of the Angi Scientific Committee. “This year too, in the third edition, the data collected and analyzed by Lab21.01 with Angi Ricerche for the National Association of Young Innovators, show the trends of innovation in Italy, the digital and ecological transition, the relationship with megatrends, the search for work and what the characteristics are for be an innovative company” explained Baldassari.

THE DATA

To the question “In your opinion, what difficulties does a young person encounter in entering the job market?” young Italians put the “Request for experience” in first place (69.7%, with an increase compared to the previous year of 6.6%)followed by the “Low propensity of companies to hire” (59.3%; +5.2%)and by the ” Difficulty for a graduate who is often considered too qualified” (although in this case a clear drop of 8.8% was recorded, bringing the figure to 30.1%). But what does it do for young people? Italians an innovative company? Last year’s podium is confirmed with the same order, which sees “Investments in cutting-edge tools, machinery and technologies” in the lead with a small growth compared to 2023 (+1%, or 37.2%), second “A young management group” (with growth +3.9% which led to 32.6%) and in third position “Knowledge of digital tools” (which remains unchanged compared to 2023 with 21.4%).

THE MEGATRENDS

Among the Megatrends of new technologies for the future, we still find Artificial Intelligence in first position with 27.3% (+6.7 compared to 2023), followed by Blockchain at 12th, 3% (+2.9% compared to 2023) followed by Hyperautomation with 11.2% (+1%) and Augmented Reality with 9.7% (with a decrease of 4.6%) and Nano technologies growing by 1% (9.6%).

CYBERSECURITY

The topic of Cybersecurity always remains a topic of high interest even for very young people, as can also be seen from the results obtained. 30.8% of those interviewed declared that it should be introduced as a subject schoolright from primary school with a significant growth compared to 2023 of 5.8%), while 52.1% believe it is appropriate to include it within secondary school activities, finally only 17.1% declare they wanting to include it only at university and for master’s degrees, limiting learning of the discipline until after reaching school leaving certificate.
