ROMA – Massimiliano Allegri is no longer the Juventus coach. That is: formally it is, for a little while longer. The official announcement will probably only arrive in the evening, as usual for listed companies after the stock exchange closes. There are too many accredited sources on social media who are spreading the word.

This is only an anticipated “tear”. The “hysterical” victory of the Italian Cup was not liked by the club, “annoyed” by the excesses on the pitch and in the heart of the Olimpico against everyone: referees, institutions, the press and even its own managers.

The decision may not be immediate, and may be postponed to the next few days. But these are hot hours at Continassa, and the only certain thing is Allegri’s farewell. Paolo Montero should replace him on the bench for the final matches of the championship.
